The institute has a set of semi-industrial technologies in the fields of industry and health. Examples include:-
Antitheft system for museums " Three-dimensional holography using microwave"
This system is new in its idea as it differs from the systems on the market as:
- It has synchronized scans.
- Electromagnetic waves cannot be cut off.
- It operates with a low power of 100 microwaves and thus does not affect the antiquities or the humans in the museum.
- You do not need to install a Tag reader in the body to be protected, as in other systems such as (RFID), which does not expose It directly to the waves and thus maintains its life for a longer period.
A device to diagnose the presence of viruses in blood samples " Rapid parallel detection of various intestinal viruses of medicinal importance in Egypt (MCRB)"
It is a diagnostic method for viruses infection using an immune response (a specialized interaction between both antibodies and antigens), based on a very specific immune response between antigen and its antibody. The assay begins by absorbing the first layer of antibodies that have multiple properties where intestinal viruses are installed on an active semi-buffer sheet encapsulated in gold (the surface of the antenna sensor), while the other reaction takes place in an aqueous solution that flows through this surface. When the biological sample containing the antigen (virus) to which the antibody is directed is brought in, a specific immune reaction occurs and the only antigen with the mark is bound to the antibody, that is, each virus is associated with its own antibody only.
